Practiq is operated by ELF Consulting, Eureka, California. We provide practice management software for health practitioners. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use Practiq at app.practiqapp.com.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Account Information When you register, we collect your name, email address, practice name, discipline, and phone number.
2.2 Patient Data You may enter patient information into Practiq including names, contact details, health history, appointment records, clinical notes, and billing information. This data belongs to you. We store it securely on your behalf.
2.3 Usage Data We collect information about how you use Practiq including pages visited, features used, and actions taken. This helps us improve the platform.
2.4 Payment Information Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing: stripe.com/privacy
2.5 Communications If you contact us by email, we retain those communications to help resolve issues.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the Practiq platform
- Send trial expiry reminders and billing notifications
- Send product updates and feature announcements (you may opt out)
- Respond to support requests
- Improve the platform based on usage patterns
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data or your patients' data for advertising.
4. PATIENT DATA — SPECIAL PROTECTIONS
4.1 Patient health information entered into Practiq is treated with the highest level of care.
4.2 We access patient data only to provide the services you have requested — never for our own purposes.
4.3 We do not share patient data with any third party except as required to provide the service (e.g., encrypted database backups) or as required by law.
4.4 All patient data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
5. DATA SHARING
We share data only with:
- Stripe — for payment processing
- DigitalOcean — for secure cloud hosting and storage
- Email service provider — for transactional emails (trial reminders, billing notifications)
- Law enforcement — only when required by valid legal process
We do not share data with marketing companies, data brokers, or advertisers.
6. DATA RETENTION

7. DATA SECURITY

- Practiq uses single-database multi-tenancy with practice-level scoping and access controls to keep practice data separated.
- Regular automated backups
- Access controls limiting who can access production data
No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your data, we will notify you within 72 hours.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your data
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your data
- Export — export your data at any time from within the platform
- Opt out — unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time

9. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. 10. CANADIAN USERS (PIPEDA)

Practiq uses essential cookies only — for login sessions and security. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
